*staring out the window at the pale moon-bathed landscape...unaware that even now, at this very moment, I'm being discussed behind my back*

*face expressionless and hard to read...glaring at the sound of raucous yelps and howls coming first from the cabana, and then from the woods and the hills beyond the house*

*breathing hard - furious, but trying not to cry*

Go on. Have your fun. You won't hunt for a fourthmonth when I'm done with you...

*leans against the window, forehead on my arm, blue eye glinting with yearning and reflected moonlight*
